THE MUSES AND THE DOLOMITES – CONCERT DEDICATED TO POPE LUCIANI | July, 30th 2016 | CANALE D’AGORDO | DOLOMITES
In the context of the fourth edition of the commendable international classic music festival “The Muses and The Dolomites”, a special high-level sacred vocal concert will take place at the archpriest church of Canale d’Agordo on July, 30th 2016 at 21.00 with the artists involved in the Masterclass “Opera, Liederistic and Sacred Music” accompanied on the piano by the Maestra di Repertorio Sofia Yoo-Kyung Park and with a rich program; the concert, free and open to everybody, will be dedicated to the “Smiling Pope” John Paul I, born Albino Luciani (1912-1978) in the church of his hometown – Everyone’s invited!
“The Muses and The Dolomites” is an international festival dedicated to classical music in the enchanting setting of the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, now in its fourth edition; the festival presents itself as the most important cultural moment of the summer season in the beautiful Biois Valley and it boasts of having among the teachers prominent international musicians like the Italian soprano Adelisa Tabiadon, the Korean Maestra di Repertorio Sofia Yoo-Kyung Park and the festival director, the Dutch mezzo-soprano Oda Zoe Hochscheid. “The Muses and The Dolomites” is composed of two different parts: a purely didactic part with the Masterclass “Opera, Liederistic and Sacred Music”; a second one concerning the live performances of the artists involved in the festival which are always free and open to everybody.
