Passo Giau – Colle Santa Lucia | Dolomites

Among the many sporting events dedicated to snowshoeing in the Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, few of them have experienced the success that Ciasparun collects every year. Ciasparun is a marvellous non-competitive race on snowshoes, open to everybody, that takes place in the enchanting setting of the Passo Giau (Municipality of Colle Santa Lucia), one of the most famous and characteristic places of the Dolomites UNESCO. This marvelous walk takes place at dusk and is followed by a tasty dolomitic dinner in a marvelous mountain Rifugio in the Pale Mountains.

Ciasparun takes place on a 5-km ring path with start and finish at Rifugio Fedare at the beautiful Passo Giau at 18.30 (total altitude gap: 300 meters). The event is conceived not only as a race, but also as a nice experience for families and guests looking for an amusing snowshoes walk in a great dolomite setting. At the end of the walk, a nice dinner and an amusing party will wait for all the participants in a marvelous mountain restaurant of the Giau area.

The registration to the Ciasparun 2021 can be carried out through the organizer, that is the Pro Loco Colle Santa Lucia (contacts below) or up to 18.00 on site on the race’s day at Rifugio Fedare. The fee includes the dinner, and snowshoes and poles can be rented on site, if needed.
