Ethnographic Museum of Taibon Agordino
Taibon Agordino | Agordino Dolomites
Summer season 2026: museum open every Friday and Saturday
The Ethnographic Museum of Taibon Agordino is a thematic and cultural museum space in the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, aimed at promoting tourism and preserving the historical and ethnic memory of the Municipality of Taibon Agordino, in the Province of Belluno, Veneto Region.

The Ethnographic Museum of Taibon Agordino is housed in the building popularly known as “casa de la Maria del Pacifico,” located in Taibon Agordino just a few meters from the Town Hall and several convenient parking areas (both the one in front and the one at the municipal sports fields slightly further on). The building is easily identifiable thanks to the large fresco by the Agordino artist Dunio on the façade, visible from the main road (Via Pietro Nenni).
The Ethnographic Museum of Taibon Agordino is managed by the Pro Loco of Taibon Agordino in collaboration with the Municipality. Inside a historic home of the village, it recreates the daily life of the Agordino farming community of the early 1900s. Visiting the house museum of Taibon Agordino allows guests to discover more about ancient Dolomite communities and their rural life, both through the visit to the dwelling itself and through the carefully curated educational reconstruction of the rooms, complete with various tools and everyday objects. Visitors have the opportunity to see the “stua,” the ancient heart of Dolomite homes, the bedroom, the “larin” (hearth), and the hayloft, all suitably showcased from both a tourist and historical perspective.

The Ethnographic Museum of Taibon Agordino is free of charge and open to the public year-round. For organizational and safety reasons, a reservation is required (we recommend booking a few days before your chosen date) by contacting the numbers listed below.
